Ayurveda is the traditional medicine of India, which originated there over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda emphasizes re-establishing balance in the body through diet, lifestyle, exercise, and body cleansing, and on the health of the mind, body, and spirit. Ayurveda and yoga have existed side by side for thousands of years in their native India. The yogis in the village were also the Ayurvedic doctors in most cases. Modern yoga trainings are now encouraging students to learn more Ayurveda and deepen their understanding of both sciences.

Hilary Garivaltis, Founder and former Dean of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda, has more than 13 years of experience in teaching Ayurvedic daily living tools and Ayurvedic therapy techniques. She received her training at the New England Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine with advanced training in India from the Rishikesh College of Ayurveda and the Jiva Institute.   • $15 Additional CEU certificate due at time of registration
  • Participation in full workshop required to receive 500YA credit.

Cancellation Policy

10 days prior to the workshop cancellation is permitted for account credit only minus a $25 administrative fee. 10 days and closer to the start date of the workshop the total tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.
