Benefitting Homes of Hope Orphanages in India

On Friday, July 29, Wilmington Yoga Center will kick-off it’s bi-annual YogaFest–a weekend of free yoga + raffles -to benefit the girls at the Homes of Hope Orphanages in India, a 501(c)3. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will go directly to the Homes of Hope.
Since 2007, Wilmington Yoga Center has raised + donated more than $20,000 for the nonprofit. When we started raising funds for the girls there was just one orphanage which housed around 50 girls between the ages of 5 + 18 years old who had been rescued from the streets. To date, Homes of Home has provided shelter, food + education for more than 1,000 girls + is currently building its sixth orphanage. Thanks to Homes of Hope, many of the girls who have graduated out of its programs have received full scholarships for a secondary education + are now living independently.
