Amy’s passion for yoga ignited in 2014 when she tried hot yoga. It was a physical injury that led her to try hot yoga after exhausting all other modalities of healing. Within 3 months her injury was healed and she was hooked. Something else astounding was happening too; she found the practices of yoga and meditation were having a profoundly positive effect on her mental illnesses of chronic depression and bipolar disorder (illnesses she battled for over 20 years). She became a yoga teacher in 2015 through the kRatjJata Yoga School in Raleigh. By 2016, through yoga, meditation, and the concept of neuroplasticity she cured her mental illnesses and has been medication and symptom free ever since. Even though hot yoga began her journey she feels every type of yoga has enormous benefits to a person’s overall well-being. She is dedicated to Ascension; the spiritual awakening of humanity and the planet through Unconditional Love and connecting to Source. She is a Reiki Master with a deep understanding of energy and the body’s chakra system. She is half way through her 300 hr teacher training for Therapeutic Essentials. She believes sound can be healing and is very mindful of the music she chooses for each class. She also sings and plays guitar for each class during Savasana. Her mission is to offer yoga classes that feel safe and sacred; a place where a person feels supported in their personal path of well-being. Her vision is a world without suffering and believes that the practices of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness are just a few ways that have powerful healing effects physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She values each persons’ right to seek inner peace and share that peace with the world. Namaste to All
