Faith Filsell, RYT200

I was first introduced to yoga by a family member and took my first yoga class around 2007. After that initial class, I became deeply intrigued by the practice. A few years later, I made the decision to leave my career in clinical research and physical therapy to stay at home with my two boys, and yoga became my outlet. I immediately noticed the physical changes with a consistent practice, but was surprised at my newfound strength. As a former competitive runner, I loved
how yoga made me feel. Yoga quickly became my passion and I realized it held a greater purpose in my life. I was able to complete my 200hr YTT in October of 2020 with Tamal Dodge at YogaSalt in Wilmington, NC, a long time goal of mine. I have developed a strong asana practice and love power yoga but most importantly, yoga has transferred into many areas of my life, benefiting my mental well-being and enhancing my spiritual relationship with God through the practice. I’ve experienced firsthand how yoga builds community, confidence, and improves one’s overall health. I aim to inspire, encourage, and share my passion with others to reach their own personal wellness goals as I continue my yoga journey.
