Faith Filsell was first introduced to yoga by her mom and after taking her first class in 2007, she was excited by the practice. Years later, she made the decision to leave a career in clinical research and physical therapy to stay at home with her two boys, and yoga quickly became an outlet. With consistent practice, she was surprised at the newfound strength and yearning for more. Yoga became her passion and purpose. In the fall of 2020, Faith completed her 200hr teacher training with Tamal Dodge at YogaSalt in Wilmington, NC, a long time goal. Along with a strong home practice, yoga has transferred into many areas of her life on and off the mat, benefiting her mental well-being, body and breath awareness, and deepening her spiritual relationship with God. She has experienced firsthand how yoga builds community, confidence, and improves one’s overall health. As a teacher, she aims to inspire, encourage, and share her love for yoga with others to reach their own personal goals and find that mind-body connection.
Faith enjoys many styles of yoga but has a strong power vinyāsa practice. She enjoys creative and intentional sequencing with her flows, combining strength, balance, and mindful transitions. She believes yoga is not a one-size fits all, but a very personal practice.
