Heather Gordy received her 200RYT from the Kunga Yoga School at the Wilmington Yoga Center in 2017. Her primary teachers include Jessica Bichler, Keegan White, and Kristen Cooper.
A dear friend first introduced Heather to yoga during an emotionally challenging time in her life. Through a dedicated yoga practice, Heather came to discover self-love and healing, and experienced the power yoga has in transforming the heart, mind, and body connection. In witnessing her own growth, she became passionate about sharing this ancient practice with others, and continued on her yogic journey in service to the environment and all beings.
In incorporating guided meditation, awareness of the breath, Chakra alignment, and safe asana practice, she encourages her students to cultivate compassion, confidence, mindfulness, and inner peace. Heather welcomes all levels into the classroom, offering modifications as needed. She believes yoga is for everyone, and it’s important to her to create a space where all can feel safe, loved, and supported in their own body.
