Yulia took her first yoga class back in 2005 at the age of 17. Never doing sports in school due to severe scoliosis, she fell in love with challenge and subtle alignment cueing. Life took different turns in the following 10 years, but she was consistent with her regular 2 hour long ashtanga inspired practices.
When she moved to the USA in 2015 and entered a hot yoga studio for the first time, Yulia committed to practice every day wherever she was. She focused on alignment in her own body as well as understanding anatomy and the biomechanics of different movements, which eventually helped her tremendously reduce scoliosis and generally improve life quality. She’s forever fascinated with the endless possibilities yoga opens for our bodies and minds and believes true understanding of fundamental asanas is the key to deepening the practice.
Finding the right teacher in 2020, Yulia completed her 200hr certification under Heather Metzler at Wilmington Yoga Center. Committed to sharing the light of yoga with her students, Yulia loves to offer challenge in her power classes as well as creative vinyasa flows.
