Well being is the profound contentment that arises from open-hearted, relaxed and awake presence. It is a sacred presence that comes, when, without any resistance or grasping, we are at home in this body in the here and now. It is a sense of being well and whole in this moment. No matter what.

The practice of mindfulness is investigation – engaging in inquiry as to what is happening inside us and beyond. When we investigate with an open and compassionate heart, our attention energizes the path of awakening.

The workshop examines the process of self-inquiry and awareness, using Patanjali’s Eightfold Path. Within the Eightfold Path, we will be looking at how we nourish the body, free the mind, and heal the heart.

The end goal of the Eightfold Path is a sense of one-ness with ourselves and the universe. Patanjali, along with every other spiritual path, holds that it is our connectedness that leads to service, which is our deepest calling.

We will explore beliefs and habits that draw us away from ourselves, from open-hearted presence. The workshop will offer several key practices that nourish our natural capacity for well-being and happiness.  It all begins with mindfulness.

  • Practical ways to nourish your body and feed your heart
  • Daily practices to free your mind
  • How to tightly cue and sequence a class, using the Eightfold Path and Self Inquiry as your spiritual foundation

About Frances Murchison, ERYT200/RYT500

Frances Murchison, ERYT200/RYT500, CHHC brings 11 years of yoga experience to her classes. Frances is a board certified Holistic Health Coach through Integrative nutrition, NYC, founder and director of Mindfullyfed Health + Life coaching, author, speaker, retreat leader, and certified yoga instructor through Moksha Yoga, chicago. She completed her 200hr Training under Daren Friesen at Moksha Yoga in Chicago, and is working towards her 500-hour Kunga Yoga certification. Originally a runner, she embraced yoga for the physical benefits of strength, flexibility and endurance. Soon, she realized that the enhancement of mindfulness, self-acceptance and compassion turned out to be an even larger benefit. Her influential teachers include Gary Kraftsow, Gabriel Halpern, Aadil Palkhivala, Daren Friesen, Dr. John Douillard and Brian Kest. Frances is a trained and certified 5Elements Flow teacher. Frances’ background as a holistic health coach informs her teaching.

Cancellation Policy

10 days prior to the workshop cancellation is permitted for account credit only minus a $25 administrative fee. 10 days and closer to the start date of the workshop the total tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.
