Travis grew up in our very own North Carolina, where he began meditating at a young age and playing musical instruments. He has traveled extensively- having been to India, Indonesia, Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica, Patagonia, Chile and Argentina- just to name a few.

After Travis’ time traveling, he relocated to Los Angeles and attended his first yoga class. Upon doing so, Travis reconnected with his meditation practice and his love of music. He began his studies with Jai Uttal, a Grammy-nominated singer and pioneer in the world music community. Today, Travis combines his love of music with Kirtan (the chanting of traditional Sanskrit mantras synergized with dynamic melodies) and leads monthly Kirtan singing sessions.

As a yoga instructor, Travis felt his calling when he returned home from a retreat in Southern Thailand. Travis currently teaches at Power Yoga, The Yoga Collective and Equinox Fitness in California. Travis has drawn inspiration from teachers such as Govindas, Bryan Kest, Saul David Raye and Shiva Rea.

Travis’ yoga classes are journeys into the core of one’s being. Students will enjoy the harmony resulting from finding a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual balance. His own practice and life’s journey allow him to help students heal and connect with what is sacred.

In addition to teaching, Travis has released several yoga DVDs, including “Yoga Basics, “Yoga Evolution” and “The Ultimate Yogi.” He is a Yoga Expert for Fitfluintial (a nationwide network of influential fitness enthusiasts), Director of “Holistic Yoga Flow” teacher trainings and a faculty member of the Kripalu Institute.
