Instructor
Danielle discovered Yoga initially in efforts to treat her chronic pain; but she soon discovered the profound healing potential for not just physical imbalances, but also for emotional and spiritual
wellbeing. Danielle earned her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Elon University in 2007. She graduated the Kunga Yoga School’s 200-hr Lifestyle and Teacher Training in 2015, and in 2018 completed her advanced studies in Yoga Therapeutics. She is currently working toward a Masters in Health Science with a concentration in Integrative Health and Wellness from the University of Maryland Baltimore.
While Danielle enjoys teaching Yoga in any capacity, her passion lies in working with individuals with disabilities, trauma survivors, and those working through mental health imbalances. In 2023, Danielle became a certified facilitator of Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga through the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at the Justice Resource Institute. She has worked as a Healing Arts Therapist at Wilmington Treatment Center offering therapeutic Yoga for individuals overcoming addiction and served on Acadia Healthcare’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Council. Currently, she is a Stretch Therapist at StretchZone; where she facilitates healing processes for folx with disabilities, neurological disorders, and chronic pain, as well as helping athletes improve their performance.
At Wilmington Yoga Center, you can find Danielle teaching Restorative Yoga and leading workshops, trainings, and continuing education for both prospective and established teachers.
